TONE SELECTOR SWITCH
For additional tonal effects the selector switch offers unlimited possibilities. This three way switch enables the guitarist to pre-set a desired effect and change quickly from one sound to another with simplicity.
PHASE SWITCH
This two position slide switch offers both "in phase" and "out phase" tonalities. An exciting new sound can easily be achieved by moving the switch to "out phase" position. The two pickups will produce opposing signals resulting in an exciting new musical adventure.
INDIVIDUAL BASS AND TREBLE CONTROLS
A unique feature in the L.P. Recording is the complete separation between the bass and treble controls. Each frequency response pattern can be individually controlled to offer a perfect tonal blend. This feature is not found in any other professional type instrument.
SOLID BODY DESIGN
The size, weight and density of the body are significant factors in the overall response of the L.P. Recording guitar.
The solid Mahogany body contributes greatly to the outstanding sustaining characteristics and perfectly balanced tone throughout the entire playing register. The unique size and body style offer extreme comfort in any playing position.
PICKUP SELECTOR TOGGLE SWITCH
This switch activates either the front or rear pickup, separately or simultaneously.
LOW IMPEDANCE HUMBUCKING PICKUPS
Low impedance simply refers to the number of ohms employed in the use of an electronic product. An ohm is a unit measurement of electrical resistance. Low impedance is widely used in the broadcasting and recording industries due to the limited resistance which ultimately creates a much more responsive and "tuneable" signal. Less noise and extraneous hum are quality features. Another important feature of low impedance electronics is the outstanding treble frequency response. The fundamental and harmonic structures are extremely clear and undistorted.
DECADE CONTROL SWITCH
The 11 position decade control "tunes" or alters the treble harmonic structure. Position 0 will "peak" the highest frequency. This "peaking" graduates accordingly down the frequency spectrum in steps through position 10.
MASTER VOLUME CONTROL
This individual volume control enables the guitarist to increase the output level of either the front pickup or rear pickup with simplicity. The volume output of each pickup is increased with an extremely even balance between treble and bass frequencies.
IMPEDANCE SWITCH
The Les Paul Recording is equipped with a unique switch that enables the guitarist to use either a "high" or "low" impedance amplifier without the use of a special transformer cable. In most cases commercial guitar amplification systems are high impedance. The impedance switch would then be set in the "Hi" position to obtain the versatile tonalities that are available without power loss.
